Tatenda Daniel Terere is a seasoned insurance professional with over a decade of postgraduate experience across business development, insurance underwriting, claims administration, and reinsurance placements, including retrocession recoveries. He combines strong technical expertise across multiple insurance classes with a proven ability to enhance brand visibility, drive revenue growth, and expand market share across regional markets.
 
Tatenda is highly collaborative, working effectively with partners to secure impactful retrocession placements and develop strategies that strengthen organisational positioning and competitiveness.
 
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the National University of Science and Technology (Zimbabwe) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Insurance and Risk Management from Midlands State University, where he was awarded the MSU Book Prize as the top student in his program. He is an Associate of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (AIISA), holds a Diploma from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe (IIZ), and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Insurance with the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
Before joining Fin Re, Tatenda held senior roles at Solid Reinsurance Limited (Botswana), First Mutual Reinsurance (Zimbabwe), and Nicozdiamond (Zimbabwe), where he built deep expertise in marketing and business development, technical underwriting, and claims management.
