Goodson Machela is an accomplished professional with over 14 years of experience in auditing, risk management, and compliance. He holds the prestigious Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) qualification and a degree in Accountancy from The Copperbelt University, providing him with a strong foundation in financial operations, risk analysis, and compliance. He is also an active member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA).

Prior to this, Goodson held significant leadership positions in risk management and compliance. As Manager of Enterprise Risk and Ethics at MTN Zambia, he led initiatives to strengthen risk governance and ethical compliance. His extensive auditing experience includes roles as External Auditor at Deloitte & Touche and Internal Auditor at Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia (PICZ), as well as Risk and Compliance Manager at NICO Insurance Zambia Limited.

Throughout his career, Goodson has earned a reputation as a results-driven leader with a talent for navigating complex challenges and delivering effective solutions. His focus on aligning risk management with organizational goals continues to drive sustainable value while managing the dynamic landscape of financial risks.

Goodson joins Finsbury Reinsurance Limited as the Head of Risk and Compliance, where he will play a key role in shaping and implementing the company’s risk management strategy.
