Finsbury Reinsurance Limited (Fin Re) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Maya Nundloll-André as Chief Technical Officer (CTO), effective 1 January 2026.
Maya is a seasoned insurance and reinsurance professional with over three decades of multidisciplinary experience that spans underwriting, broking, reinsurance placement, and executive training. She holds an LLM in Insurance Law from the University of London and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK). She is also an accredited CII Trainer, widely recognised for her contribution to technical capacity-building across the region.
Maya began her career with a leading Mauritian insurer, where she gained extensive expertise in non-life underwriting, policy drafting, renewal management, and client servicing. She later joined Munich Re Mauritius, where she served for more than ten years as a Senior Non-Life and Casualty Specialist. In this role, she managed Facultative and Treaty portfolios across Mauritius, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Lusophone markets, leading the underwriting of complex risks, contract wording development, portfolio planning, and technical training. She also contributed to international portfolio reviews, aligning regional practices with global standards.
Following her tenure at Munich Re, Maya took on senior leadership responsibilities as Group Technical Director and Board Member at Reinsurance Solutions, a regional reinsurance broking group. During this period, she provided strategic direction, oversaw sophisticated reinsurance placements across diverse markets, and strengthened the firm’s expansion efforts by enhancing technical governance and client advisory frameworks.
With her deep technical expertise, strategic acumen, and passion for industry development, Maya brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to Fin Re. She is committed to advancing innovative insurance and reinsurance solutions while contributing to the growth and professional development of the industry across Africa and beyond.
